Bio

My name is Adam Buka, I am a filmmaker fascinated by documentary cinema. I graduated from DokPro at the Andrzej Wajda Master School in Warsaw. I made a short documentary film "Kometa", which was awarded in Poland and abroad (Wajda School 2020). I created a short advertising film - "100 school buses for Ukraine" - which was selected as one of the 5 best films made for the European Commission in 2023 (Solidarity Fund / European Commission 2023). I have worked as an editor in television productions. I write scripts, shoot, edit, produce and create simple animations. I run workshops on documentary cinema. I work with sound. I was a scholar of the Ministry of Culture in 2020. I love Polish documentary films from the 1960s and 1970s.
